Where Can I Find Insulation I Need to Build a Passive Solar Heat Box?

I ordered the Heat Grabber Plan from MOTHER EARTH NEWS. The plans were originally published in the 1970s and the product listed for insulation, Thermax, does not seem to be generally carried by big box stores in my area. Do you know where I can get this insulation?

Thermax brand insulation is made by Dow. To find a distributor in your area call Dow Customer Information Group at 866-583-2583.

I have been unable to locate 1" foil faced rigid foam insulation sheets at any of the big box stores or at local lumber yards. They all only carry one half inch. I have not been able to find 3/4 inch with foil facing either. They carry 3/4 inch with no foil. These materials were not available to order either. Do you have any suggestions? Could I do a glue up of two half inch sheets? Any ideas on what to do about the 3/4 inch. These materials are not available in eastern nc it appears. I would really like to build several solar boxes. Your help would be appreciated.
