We chose 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC pipe as the launching post, threading a 2" nipple of the pipe into a 1/2" ABS female pipe-to-barb 90° elbow.

Using nothing more than water and compressed air for propulsion, the rocket will shoot well over 100 feet into the air.
