Instructables Makes it Easier to Find DIY Projects

Reader Contribution by Sean Rosner

For years, Instructables has been a great source for DIY project ideas. Now the site has made it easier for users to find projects relevant to their interests.

The Instructables site administrators recently took to the task of extensively organizing the 35,000 projects into five simple categories: living, outside, play, technology and workshop. Once within one of these categories, users can navigate to more specific channels. (For example, within the “workshop” category are channels for furniture, energy, home renovation, metalworking, woodworking, tools, solar and more.)

So, if you’re in need of some DIY inspiration, head over to Instructables. And while you’re at it, check out the page of environment-minded projects the site compiled for Earth Day.
