Decorate Your Bike for the Fourth of July

As a kid, I loved watching the Rose Bowl Parade with all of the amazingly decorated floats. Then, of course, came the horse riding groups that shimmered and shone in their wonderful outfits and fancy tack. Ahhh … so far from my mundane small-town life.

But I did have a number of opportunities to ride my bike in the town’s Fourth of July parade. I’d wear white shorts and shirt, and cover the bike with crepe paper and small flags. It wasn’t prize-winning material, but for a couple of hours I could pretend I was queen for the day.

Did you decorate a bike or wagon and participate in your town’s Fourth of July parade? If so, tell us about the most memorable day in the comments section below.
