It's simple to make, so why not assemble this spinning device and give it a try as a bird deterrent?
When in operation, your bird deterrent will look something like this.

PHOTO 1: Punch holes in the center of the bases of two cans. PHOTO 2: Cut the tops off both cans.
PHOTO 5: Twist the fins on the two "propeller" pieces. Be sure to twist the blades of both cans in the same direction. Insert the "drinking end" of the third can snugly into one of the finned containers. PHOTO 6: Cut four 1 1/2" long slots around the top of the third can and fit it into your other finned container.
PHOTO 3: Cut each container's side into 12 equal fins. PHOTO 4: Cut off the lower 1 1/2" section of a third can.
PHOTO 7: Run a length of coat hanger through the central holes. Shape the wire to keep the cans on their "axle."
