bugs in 5th grade and bird watching in 8th grade. By high school, McNamara was testing the water quality of a local river in her AP Environmental Science class. It was only fitting for her to study the environment in college.

2012. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a
concentration in Environment, Society and Sustainability. On campus, she
served as president of UD’s Registered Student Organization, Students for theEnvironment (S4E) and as Undergraduate Representative on the UD SustainabilityTask Force Executive Council. McNamara has experience working in various
sectors of the environmental field: state and county government, academia and nonprofit. In June 2012, she started a fellowship with an environmental
nonprofit in New Jersey.
Other Fun Facts: McNamara enjoys hiking through the parks of Monmouth
County, looking for shells and sea glass along the oceanand reading (and
tweeting) environmental news. She’s an avid NFL fan and has been known to
yell at her TV while watching the game. McNamara is a Jersey
Girl, born and raised, and is now a proud “local” living at the beach in New Jersey.
