VACCINATIONS
· Clostridium C/D plus tetanus: three ml subcutaneously, annually to all juvenile and adult llamas. Also vaccinate pregnant females one month prior to birthing
· Leptospirosis (in high-risk areas): biannually to brood females
· Rabies: annually

Other vaccinations that have been used in llamas include malignant edema, equine herpes virus, Scour Guard-III and Chlamydial vaccines (to prevent abortions). These should be given under the direction of a veterinarian.
DEWORMING
· Fenbendazole (Panacur) paste: 11 to15 mg/kg orally every two to six months, depending on animal density and results of fecal exam
· Ivermectin (injectable): 2mg/kg subcutaneously every 3 to 6 months, depending on local conditions
OTHER
· Castration recommended at 2 years of age
· Fighting teeth removal at 2 1/2 years of age, then every one to two years
· Nail trimming every two to six months
