If you're contemplating going on line with a synchronous inverter, you must first contact your utility and approach the appropriate individuals with your proposal. I think you'll find that they'll be very cooperative (for the present, at least, they're required by law to make some sort of deal with you) and that you'll be able to work out an arrangement that'll fulfill your needs as well as theirs.
