Most pumpkin pie recipes call for cream and eggs. For a healthier (and vegan) alternative this holiday season, try replacing the milk and eggs with 4 to 5 tablespoons of arrowroot powder (a natural thickener extracted from a tropical plant root). This creates a creamy pie that holds together beautifully and has fewer calories and less saturated fat.

    in which, vegetarians would, also, agree with me, why are there not
    more recipes for us in this delightful magazine, please, more

    Not to mention, shouldn't you change the amount of powder used
    based on the amount of milk/eggs used in the recipe?

    i dont get it- how can you replace all the milk and eggs with a
    powder? dont you also have to add more liquid to make the recipe
    work? can we have a real recipe using arrowroot powder,
    here?-tabitha in missouri
