Mother Earth News launches sustainable-living radio show
Largest green publication partners with “Ask Andrea” team to take message to airwaves

TOPEKA, Kan. (Oct. 27, 2009) — How can I make my home more energy efficient and save money? When should I plant my spring garden? Listeners nationwide can hear the answers to these and other questions about sustainable lifestyles when Mother Earth News Radio launches Nov. 7.

Mother Earth News magazine, the nation’s largest and longest-running publication about green lifestyles, joins former “Ask Andrea” radio host Andrea Ridout and energy expert Dan Lepinski to give a voice to its content. The show replaces Ridout’s existing “energizeGREEN” program and incorporates additional content and editorial resources from Ogden Publications’ Mother Earth News, Natural Home, Grit, The Herb Companion and Utne Reader magazines.

“There’s growing demand for the Mother Earth News content, which made our magazine the fastest-growing publication on American newsstands through the first half of this year,” says Bryan Welch, publisher and editorial director of Ogden Publications.

Mother Earth News Radio airs each Saturday at 9 a.m. CST on CNN 1190 AM in Dallas, and nationwide on the IRN/USA Radio Network. Online listeners can hear archived episodes at MotherEarthNewsRadio.com.

Ridout’s production team will continue to write, produce and edit the weekly show from Dallas. Ogden Publications and Ridout’s team will share advertising sales duties, including creating customized 360-degree marketing programs to meet clients’ goals.
