College textbooks, new or used, can cost an arm and a leg. I discovered eBay’s partner website, Half.com, where you can buy and sell textbooks.

I have saved $100 to $200 on books each semester since I found this website. And as soon as you are done with the book, just turn around and post it for sale on the site and other college students will buy the book from you.

I just earned back everything I spent on my books last semester.

Check out this site www.bookase.com, A price comparison search engine for books and textbooks. It searches for the lowest prices among the major online stores worldwide and also offers discount coupons. You can also choose among various shipping options to calculate the lowest price

You can also check out www.DealOz.com , DealOz compares 200

bookstore prices and free discount coupons too. Their

coupons are valid and have saved over $500 on my textbooks.

If you live near a Half Price Books store (www.halfpricebooks.com , then click store locator) you can find some great deals if they have the textbook.

www.betterworldbooks.com is another great site, "Better World Books collects and sells books online to fund literacy initiatives worldwide. With more than two million new and used titles in stock, we’re a self-sustaining, triple-bottom-line company that creates social, economic and environmental value for all our stakeholders."

I purchased most of my texts from them last semester and even had the option of purchasing carbon credits to offset the shipping.

Half.com is great but it is only one of many, many discount textbook retailers. That's why I always use http://www.bigwords.com for my textbook needs. They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online retailers and rental sites to find you the best prices. You can even use them at the end of the semester to search for resellers to sell you books back too.

Another really great site is Chegg.com. They rent textbooks for ridiculously low prices and each time you rent from them, they plant a tree. It was really simple, they pay shipping back to them when you are finished with the book.
