For dusting under furniture and hard-to-get-at places, slip an old sock onto a fly swatter and sew it securely into place.

If you spill cooking oil on the floor, immediately pour salt over the spill. In a matter of minutes, you will be able to sweep away the salt and oil with no stain. It works well for eggs, too.

This cleanup trick works while you sleep: Lay a barbecue grill rack on the lawn overnight - the dew will combine with the enzymes in the grass to loosen any burned-on grease. Try this with messy oven racks, too.
