If the thought of DIY deodorant brings to mind images of sweaty pits, stank stenches, and much-too-close quarters, you’re not alone. Worth noting, however: The aluminum found in most over-the-counter deodorants has been linked to cancer, and there’s only so much “powder scent” a person can take.
Solution: a homemade, aluminum-free deodorant. We’ve done our road testing and found one that is decidedly not the pits. Try it!
1⁄2 c aluminum-free baking soda or cornstarch
1⁄2 c arrowroot
20 drops skin-friendly essential oil like lavender or rosemary
