The product is based on a family recipe in use for more than 60 years, and it’s supposed to act as a wood preservative. Five years experience isn’t enough to tell, so it’s probably best that you always build outdoors with rot-resistant wood, following a project design that minimizes areas of wood-to-wood contact that can trap moisture and promote rot.
