Anyway, I hope you'll give hamdolin making a try. I'll give you a quick course on playing a mandolin in the next issue of MOTHER. Meanwhile, any good book on the subject will get you started on your new instrument. I think you'll find that your hamdolin is especially good on such songs as "Ham Me Down My Walking Cane" and other old-time favorites like "Ham Sweet Ham."

In fact, after you've practiced awhile, you can get together with other hamdolinists and form a "pork-estra."

    can you email a picture of your hamdolin and the deminsions for it,
    my computer is having problems loading the picture
